SCAMMERS SIGNALED!
22-08-2019
Today we were informed by an attentive flower exporter in Holland that an old acquaintance is again looking for new suppliers. It concerns a customer from Serbia, who works with Italian partners. Again a new company is founded, and looking for new suppliers. Great stories about quick payments and large orders. Starting with 8-10 pallets of flowers per order and that can go up to one truck at a time. We now know that by now. The purchase volumes are correct, but the payments are not. In the past 10 (!) years we have known 11 suppliers from the Netherlands, who together lost almost 3 million euros on these scams! These people never stop and this is therefore the run-up to major scams in October / November!
Incidentally, another Serbian company is active at this moment, which also has caused considerable damage, both in the Netherlands, Ecuador and Colombia. Same tactics, there is a regular change of location to prevent recognition. The latter company was also actively looking for a new supplier earlier this week.
Most used places of both: Belgrade, Nis and Novi Sad.
You have just been warned. Don’t let this happen to you! We noticed that more and more companies in South America are becoming victims of doubtful debtors. An AgroCheck membership can help you to avoid these scammers, luckily a lot of you already know that. Next week is the last week where you can become a member for the old rates starting at $365 per year. As from September 2019, the prices will be starting at $450. We only have to warn you once in a few years and you will easily gain profit from your membership. If you would like to have more information, feel free to contact us.
