Watch out for Italian scam!

There is an Italian company, situated in North of Italy, between Milano and Torino, that is making a lot of damage in South America, mainly Ecuador. They order large quantities of roses and have caused a lot of damage this year. We have already traced several suppliers in Ecuador and Holland who have a total damage of almost half a million dollars! And that is just what we know, there might be more.

The company is active since 2016, but came to our attention in April 2019. The scam is simple and proven: They start ordering small volumes some 2 months before an important Holiday (Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day, Mother’s Day), pay within the terms as agreed and then just before this important day, they start ordering large volumes of flowers. Always with the nice excuses that its an important day and they will pay immediately upon this holiday. Well, they don’t and leave the suppliers with a lot of damage. We have been in contact with the debtor several times and they make many promises, but never pay. Also we found out that they changed telephone numbers this week. Please be careful! In no time Valentine’s Day and Women’s Day are coming and these people will not stop! This is their business and they are good at it!
