Spanish scammer is looking for new suppliers!
In the past two weeks several suppliers have been approached by a Spanish scammer, who has been in the picture since 2009 and has caused hundreds of thousands of Dollars of damage over the years. This time he tries to buy flowers with a new company name. Undoubtedly he will find new victims...
For years we have been warning flower farms and exporters against this doubtful debtor from the North of Spain. Still, every year this person finds a way to find new suppliers and leave them with substantial outstanding debts, especially after the flower holidays. Obviously, he is looking for new victims now. By using front men, he often manages to stay out of the picture and build confidence with the supplier, but after some investigation you can immediately find out that the same person is always behind these companies. The addresses are constantly changing, but are always in or around Palencia and Pontevedra (Spain) or Maia (Portugal). The same trade name has been used since 2018, including recently renewed website, active social media accounts and (stolen) videos on YouTube. We can imagine that sales persons think they are going to do business with a reputable company, but obviously they are not. We now know 9 different company names and almost as many addresses, all available in the AgroCheck database for our members. Be careful and do your homework before doing business with new clients.
AgroCheck members who would like to know which debtor this concerns, can contact us. We advise non-members to consider an AgroCheck membership. From only $450,- a year you get full access to our database (35,000+ companies) and Warning list (2,700+ companies).
